Obituary for Lucien J. "Jack" Stutts

MIFFLINTOWN, Lucien J. “Jack” Stutts, 85, of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown, and formerly of Mifflintown died at 1:40 p.m., on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the manor.
Born on June 8, 1928, in Mifflintown, Juniata County he was the son of the late Lucian B. and Elsa (Nestler) Stutts. On January 6, 1950; he wed Donna Jean (Rhinesmith) Stutts, with whom she shared more than 61 years of marriage, before she preceded him in death on February 15, 2011.
He is survived by two children, Diane S. Littleton and her husband Pastor Donald W. Littleton, of Great Bend, PA, David R. Stutts and his wife Valerie Stutts, of Mifflintown, one sister M. Evelyn Switzer, of Mifflintown, and he leaves behind six grandchildren and two great- granddaughters.
Two brothers, Robert Stutts, Frank Stutts, and two sisters, Dorothy Hambright and Jean Groninger preceded him in death.
Mr. Stutts was a 1946 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, a member and former board of trustee of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, also a member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post No. 5863 all of Mifflintown and he was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Jack enjoyed refinishing wood projects and spending time fishing at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Del. He will long be remembered for having his daily seat at McDonald’s, Mifflintown, however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, and loving all of their activities.
A graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March29, 2014, from the Union Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mifflintown, with his son-in-law Pastor Donald W. Littleton officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
