MIFFLINTOWN, Joshua M. “J.B.” Beitz, 42, of Mifflintown died at 7:09 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home.
Born on July 2, 1971 in Abington, PA, he is a son of Joseph J. and Shirley (Knapp) Beitz, of Mifflintown. His fiancée, Sherry Simms, of Mifflintown also survives.
In addition to his fiancée and parents, he is survived by, two daughters, Courtney Beitz, Giada Beitz, both of Mifflintown, one brother, Rusty Beitz and his wife Donna, of Mifflintown, one sister Aimee (Beitz) Wagner, of Port Royal and he leaves behind five nephews, Seth, Zachary, Derek, Isaiah and Elijah.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown and a 1989 graduate of Juniata High School.
Josh owned and operated J. B. Enterprises, of Mifflintown for 25 years.
“J.B.” was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish and work his garden. He also butchered for many people in the area and was a great cook, who was always the boss of the kitchen. His family and friends were his life and he cherished every moment that he spent with them.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
