MIFFLIN, Patricia R. “Pat” Ricewick, 84, of the Malta Home, Granville and formerly of Mifflin died at 10:10 a.m., on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the home.
Born on March 1, 1930 in Yeagertown, Mifflin County she is a daughter of the late George A., Sr. and Elizabeth (Searer) Hannon. On June 4, 1948 she married David B. Ricewick with whom she shared more than 44 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on November 5, 1992.
Surviving are her daughters: Dana J. Nale and her husband Clem, of Reedsville, Lorrie A. Bolton and her husband Brian, of Huntingdon.
She was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by a brother, George Hannon, Jr. and a sister, Doris McCallips.
Mrs. Ricewick was a 1947 graduate of Yeagertown High School, and a very active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin.
In earlier life, she was employed at Andy Zendt’s store, Mifflin and for Rae Sel, Port Royal before retiring from Juniata Garment, Mifflin.
“Pat” had a gift for cooking and a love for Penn State football. She also followed the San Francisco 49’ers because of Joe Montana, after his retirement she turned to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Gay Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
There will be no public viewing; however, family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
