PORT ROYAL, Gerald T. “Jerry” Aurand, 77, of Port Royal died at 6:08 p.m., on Friday, October 24, 2014, at his home.
Born on January 4, 1937 in Troxelville, Snyder County, he was a son of the late Boyd T. and Pauline G. (Fetterolf) Aurand. His wife, G. Jean (Geedey) Aurand, survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Barry G. Aurand, of Mifflintown, Robin L. Eaton and her husband Steve, of East Waterford, Timothy A. Aurand and his wife Sheree, of Millerstown, a brother, David Aurand and his wife Sue, of Scottsville, NY, 12 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, and 7 great grandchildren.
A daughter, Penny J. Swailes-Dudley preceded him in death on October 14, 2005.
Until his retirement in 2002, he was employed as a manager of the Price Company of Brookneal, VA.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mifflintown with Mr. Jay Whistler, II officiating. Interment will be private.
