Brenda Mae Brown, 68, of Mifflintown, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on January 30, 1947, in Lewistown, Mifflin County she was the daughter of the late Clark I. and Pearl M. (Heller) Britcher.
Surviving are her life partner of 46 years, Richard J. Paige, children, Rich Britcher and his wife Helen, of Port Royal, Rhonda Meily and her husband, Rich, Kevin Paige and his companion, Natasha Brosious, all of Mifflintown, 8 grandchildren, Jason Bargo, Brittany Newton, Lynn Paige Geedy, Derek Paige, Maggie Newton, Logan Meily, Nick Britcher, Dawson Meily, and 4 great-grandchildren, Camden Bargo, Ashlyn Bargo, Connor Corwell, and Grayson Paige.
She was a member of the graduating class of 1965 of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and a member of the Arch Rock United Methodist Church.
In 2005 she retired with 33 years of service as a caseworker for the Juniata County Public Assistance Office.
Brenda enjoyed reading, gardening and loving all of her dogs. She and Rick loved to travel and go out to eat. During her retirement, with her love of crafts she started her own craft business; however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Bobby Landis and Pastor Casey Hostler officiating.
Viewing will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the funeral home.
