Obituary for Elizabeth P. "Betsy" Littleton (Penn)

Elizabeth P. “Betsy” Littleton, 86, of Manor Care, Sewell, N.J., and formerly of Mifflin, died on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the home.
Born on March 24, 1929, in Chicago, ILL she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Lord) Penn. Her husband Wade Littleton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Carol A. Zeiders and her husband Thomas, of Sewell, N.J., Rev. Donald Littleton and his wife Diane, of Duncannon, 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandsons.
Mrs. Littleton was a lifelong member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin, where she had previously taught Sunday school and was very active on various committees. She was also a member of the Mifflin Chapter # 260, Order of the Eastern Star where she served as a Worthy Matron and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Crawford-Brubaker Post # 5863 where she had served as President. She had volunteered through several local agencies where she was always willing to lend a helping hand. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
She started working as a Teller at the Russel National Bank of Mifflin and retired from the Omega Bank of Mifflin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, March 30, 2015 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Gay Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Viewing will be from 1:30 p.m. Monday, until 2:15 p.m. when an Eastern Star service will be accorded at the funeral home.
