Anna Jane Benner Sheaffer, 87, of Richfield died at 10:21 a.m., on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at her home.
Born on January 6, 1928 in Fayette Twp., Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Peter Oliver and Nora (Ehrenzeller) Brown. Her first husband, Clarence M. “Tine” Benner, preceded her in death on September 19, 1973 and her second husband Herbert L. Sheaffer, preceded her in death on November 14, 2014.
Surviving are her children, Daryl Benner and his wife Lori, of Reading, Joy Forry and her husband Roger, of McAlisterville; grandchildren, Amy Christman, Bryan Benner, Josh Forry; and great grandchildren Jack Christman, Jenna Christman, Brady Benner, Ella Jane.
Mrs. Sheaffer was preceded in death by her siblings, Perry Brown, Paul Brown, Mae Brandt, John Brown and Alice Troutman.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from the Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, McAlisterville with her pastor Rev. Tammy Gessner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
A viewing will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 with family present from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111Westfall St., McAlisterville and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday at the church.
