Obituary for Boise P. Fry Jr.

Boise P. Fry, Jr., 89, of Oberlin, died at 4:57 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Frey Village, Middletown.
Born on August 13, 1926, in Mifflin, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Boise P., Sr. and Alma (Shotzberger) Fry. On November 18, 1958 he married his late wife, Jean L. (Potter) Fry, with whom he was blessed to share nearly 55 years of marriage, before she preceded him in death on August 10, 2013.
Surviving are a daughter Debbie J. McMonigal and her husband Brad of Harrisburg, a sister, Alma Goodling, of Shippensburg and he leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A brother, William Zane Fry, and a sister, Jane Sarver, preceded him in death.
He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Neidig Memorial United Methodist Church, Oberlin.
In earlier life, Mr. Fry started his career with the federal government at Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown and retired with 42 years of service from the New Cumberland Army Depot.
Boise loved woodworking, and tending to his flower and vegetable garden.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, April 29, 2016, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Robert Graybill officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service, Friday at the funeral home.
