Obituary for Delbert E. Sellers

Delbert E.  Sellers
Delbert E. Sellers, 84, of McAlisterville, left this earth to be with our Lord at 2:38 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born September 11, 1931 in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Ethel Mae (Landis) Sellers. On November 3, 1951, he married his late wife, Jo-Anne E. (Long) Sellers, with whom he was blessed to share more than 64 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 8, 2016.
Surviving are his children, Dennis Sellers and wife Penny, of Bellefonte, Teresa Snyder and husband Allen, of Yampa, Colorado, Nevin Sellers and wife Cheryl, of Shermans Dale, and Troy Sellers and wife Christie, of Muncy; a brother, Harold Sellers, of McClure; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
An infant daughter, Karen Anne Sellers preceded him in death.
He was a 1949 graduate of Fayette High School and a life-time member of the Brown’s United Methodist Church, McAlisterville where he held many offices in his younger years. Also he was a member of the Tennis Lodge No. 371, F&AM, Thompsontown, the Lost Creek Rod and Gun Club and held the position of Fayette Township Supervisor for 12 years.
In 1997 he retired from the Quality Control Department of Standard Steel, Burnham after which he retired from the Harrisburg Auto Auction in September of 2006.
At his request all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Candace Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
The family will provide all funeral flowers and kindly ask that memorial donations in Mr. Sellers’ memory may be made to his church, the Brown’s United Methodist Church, 33401 Route 35 North, McAlisterville, PA 17049.
