Barbara A. Geedey, 61, of Mifflintown, died at 7:18 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born March 13, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret L. (Hayes) Patterson. On October 4, 2009, she married her surviving husband, Daniel A. Geedey, with whom she was blessed to share nearly 7 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jennifer A. Shaffer and her husband James, of Reedsville, Jason A. Smith and his wife Angelina, of Parma, OH; sisters, Sandy Hancock, of Christiansburg, VA, Susan Nelson and her husband Jeff, of Bellaire, OH, and she leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Jaylie M. Shaffer, Shaylin J. Shaffer and Trayven B. Shaffer.
Mrs. Geedey was presently employed as a delivery manager for Lowe’s, Lewistown.
Barbara loved bowling, was an avid reader and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday August 20, 2016 from the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown. Interment will be private in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
