Obituary for Sarah B. Kauffman

Sarah B. Kauffman, 86, of the Bridges at Brookline and formerly of Oakland Mills died at 8:48 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Manor.
Born on January 16, 1930 in Lancaster, Lancaster County she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Annie (Beiler) Stoltzfus. On November 29, 1949 she married her late husband, Jacob Kauffman, with whom she was blessed to share nearly 33 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1982.
Surviving are her children; Liz Glick and her husband Jim, of Mifflintown, Linda Mast and her husband Glenn, of Sarasota, FL, Barbara Carper and her husband Glenn, of Mifflintown, Ann Ingle, Lewistown, Mervin Kauffman and his wife Pat, of Greencastle, Daniel Kauffman and his wife, Tammy, of McAlisterville; brothers, Menno Stoltzfus, of Lancaster, Amos Stoltzfus, of Gap, Daniel Stoltzfus, of Sarasota, FL, Benjamin Stoltzfus, of Akron; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, Fannie Stoltzfus, Mary Lapp, Naomi Beiler and Rebecca Stoltzfus, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kauffman was a member of the Living Water Christian Fellowship, Mifflin and owned and operated her own residential cleaning service until her retirement in 2003.
Sarah was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. She also loved to entertain guests and family in her home as well as babysit her grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 from the Delaware Mennonite Church, Thompsontown with Rev. Gary Krabill and Pastor Keith Graybill officiating. Interment will follow in the Delaware Mennonite Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the church.
