David E. Hansley, Jr, 52, of Lewistown and formerly of McAlisterville, died at 12:06 p.m., on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born June 7, 1964, in Phoenixville, Chester County, he was a son of the David E. Hansley, Sr. of Lewistown and the late Blanch (Fogleman) Hansley.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his children, Justin Hansley and his wife Jessica, of Richfield, Hannah Shelley and her husband Derek, of McAlisterville; a sister, Sally Miller, of State College and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a 1984 graduate of East Juniata High School and had attended the Key Church of God, Lewistown.
In earlier life he worked for Wood Mode, Kramer after which he was a truck driver for 15 years. His most recent employment was with Crest Transportation.
In his younger years, David raced go carts and was involved in team calf roping. He also enjoyed hunting, going to yard sales and playing golf.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2017, from the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville with the Rev. Erin Bovendam and Pastor Chad Shaffer officiating.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
