Obituary for Ramona C. Van Horn

Ramona C. Van Horn passed away peacefully on January 5, 2017 at her home in McAlisterville at the age of 84. She was born in Newport, PA on November 16, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bessie Lowe.
She is survived by her son, Timothy R. Van Horn, of Mechanicsburg, PA, her husband Walter Williams, of McAlisterville, her sister Ruth Miller of Newport, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother, Russell Lowe, preceded her in death.
Ramona is best known for being a Notary Public in Juniata County and operating her Title & Messenger Service business. Prior to that she worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, and bird watching. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to the amazing hospice team at Celtic and all the caregivers that eased her Alzheimer’s journey.
There will be a viewing at Brown’s Funeral Home in McAlisterville on Tuesday evening January 10, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Brown’s Funeral Home on Wednesday January 11 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Graham Fowler officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Bucks United Methodist Cemetery, Newport at a private graveside service.
