The self-professed “Perfect Man”, Jack L. Bair, 81, of Thompsontown joined Jesus on January 25, 2017.
Born on August 11, 1935 he was a son of the late John L. and Essie R. (Amig) Bair.
Jack grew up for the love of the outdoors. If he wasn’t at home, he was hunting, fishing or in the woods.
He proudly served 20 years in the United States Navy; retiring as Chief. His retirement years were enjoyed working 24 years as a Deputy Sheriff
with the Juniata County Sheriff’s Department and he continued to enjoy his passion for the outdoors, listening to classical music, and watching movies.
He was loved by Grace, his wife of 55 years, his four remarkable children and their families: Wade and his wife Kim, Brock and his wife Jan, Tamar and her husband Dan Seaman, Tanya and her husband John Hepner. His greatest blessing was his grandchildren: Brittany and her husband Justin Quail, Ridge, Elizabeth, Zolton, Brogan, Alex, AnnaMaci, Hunter, Alleighcia and Riley; and his one great-grandson Brayden. He is also survived by his sister, Doris Jean Perry, of Hemet, CA.
Two brothers, Richard Bair, John Bair, and two sisters, Pauline Cameron and Betty Stunger, preceded him in death.
Jack was a member of Amvets Post 122 and served over 10 years in the Thompsontown Council.
“Death comes only to the living; Eternal Freedom, Eternal Release; All Life suffers, whatever the norm; It’s the norm.” by Jack Bair 05-15-69
