Carol A. Spigelmyer, 63, of Mifflintown, ended her earthly journey at 2:55 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on August 17, 1953, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late George Swift and Jacgueline E. “Jackie” (Yocum) Swift-Leach. On September 25, 1971 she married her surviving husband Ricky L. Spigelmyer with whom she was blessed to share more than 45 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Heather Walton and her husband Joe, a son, Caleb Spigelmyer and his companion Erika Lopez, all of Mifflintown, 6 grandchildren, Willy Walton, Adam Walton, Blaze Walton, Talon Walton, Javier Lopez, Christian Lopez and 4 great grandchildren.
Her step-father Paul Leach preceded her in death.
She was a 1971 graduate of Juniata High School, and a member of the Arch Rock United Methodist Church, both of Mifflintown.
In earlier life she was employed by Scotty’s Fashions, Lewistown, before she worked for the Pa. Dept. of Forestry, Licking Creek and later she retired from the Maintenance Dept. of the Juniata County Courthouse.
Carol loved birdwatching, camping, crocheting, however; she especially loved spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Gerald Miller officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
