Harold H. “Ham” Robinson, 86, of Walnut, passed away at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born on November 10, 1930 in Beale Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late William K. and Marie A. (Henry) Robinson. On February 28, 1952, he married his late wife, K. Roberta (McWilliams) Robinson, with whom he was blessed to share more than 50 years of marriage until she preceded him in death on August 3, 2002.
Surviving are his children, Sue L. Dunn and her husband John, of Port Royal, H. Eugene Robinson and his wife Karen, of Falls Church, VA, Gerald R. Robinson and his wife Carla, of Walnut, a sister, Kathryn Kell of Walnut, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a companion Joan Lyter, of Centre.
Two brothers, Robert Robinson, George Robinson, and two sisters, Jessie Moyer and Dorothy Shearer preceded him in death.
He was a 1949 graduate of Juniata High Joint School, Mifflintown a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Nook. Also, he was a life member of the Beale Twp. Fire Co., the Nook Gun Club, and he formerly was an elected supervisor of Beale Twp. for many terms.
Mr. Robinson was a lifelong dairy farmer having owned and operated his beloved Catalpa Farm of Walnut. Currently he was semi-retired due to his health.
Harold truly loved the outdoors, hunting and working his farm and he will long be remembered for sitting on his front porch.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Nook with the Rev. Chris Mathiason officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 until the time of service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
