Obituary for Dale L. Hahn

Dale L. Hahn
Dale L. Hahn, 63, of Academia died at 10:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home due to injuries suffered from a tractor accident.
Born on February 5, 1954, in Gettysburg, Adams County, he was a son of the late Franklin D. and Flora F. (Welch) Hahn. On July 11, 2002, he married his surviving wife, Pat A. (Cassel) Hahn, with whom he was blessed to share more than 15 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Timothy D. Hahn and his wife Laurie, of Mifflintown, Michelle L. Beyer and her husband Joe, of York; siblings, his twin sister, Gail K. Roop and her husband Irvin, of Union Bridge, MD, Diane L. Hahn and her companion George, of Waynesboro, Stephen M. Hahn and his wife Linda, of Taneytown, MD, Vickie A. Hahn, of Mifflintown, Christopher A. Hahn, of Taneytown, MD; 6 grandchildren, Shaura N. Beamer, Breanna R. Hahn, Timothy D. Hahn Jr., Cole W. Hahn, Shaianne J. Beyer and Joseph W. Beyer Jr., and his two German Shepard’s, Sinbad and Duke, the family house dog, Lulu and the rescue dog Sparky.
A brother, Dennis P. Hahn, preceded him in death.
Currently he was serving as the Vice-President for Tuscarora Valley Heritage Days.
He was a self-employed truck driver, farmer and school bus owner/operator.
Dale was a free spirit, who conformed to his own rules. He never worried about tomorrow because he lived for today. He took great pleasure in making people laugh and riding his purple Harley Davidson. Being full of life he loved to hunt, fish and work on his old tractors; however, his real true passion in life was farming.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Hahn’s memory to the Tuscarora Valley Heritage Days, P.O. Box 23, East Waterford, PA 17021.
