Ronald C. Jones, 68, of Mifflintown, died at 8:12 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born on November 17, 1947, in Norristown, Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Charles and Betty (McConnell) Jones. On February 6, 1969, he married his surviving wife, Margaret R. (Shelley) Jones.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rachel Monterroso and her husband Chano, James Jones and his wife Janelle, Lydia Jones, Eunice Jones, Nathan Jones and his companion Chrissy Geesey, all of Mifflintown, Jason Jones and his wife Janet, of Blairsville, Elizabeth Reiff and her husband Merle, of Loysville, Paul Jones, of Mifflintown, Daniel Jones and his wife Kelly, of Thompsontown; siblings, Barbara Weaver, of Lake, MI, Robert Jones, of Orrsville, OH, Debra Stauffer, of Mt. Pleasant Mills; 10 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was a member of the Millerstown Mennonite Church, Millerstown and a 1965 graduate of Spring Ford High School.
In earlier life, Ronald was a farmer who worked his own farm. Later he operated his own trucking company, Jones Hauling, Mifflintown.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016, from the Millerstown Mennonite Church, 173 Raccoon Valley Road, Millerstown with Eugene Nolt, Wayne Rudolph, Mast Stoltzfus, Nevin Hurst, Richard Nolt and Ed Kerr officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Church cemetery.
Viewing will be held on, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 1 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the church.
