Obituary for David G. "Yohnny" Yohn

David G. “Yohnny” Yohn, 64, of Mifflintown, passed away at 6:32 PM, Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on November 24, 1955 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., he is a son of the late David E. “Lassie” and Anna M. (Grubb) Yohn.

On August 6, 2001, he married his surviving wife, Lisa A. (Oberlin) Yohn with whom he was blessed to share of 19 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Grant C. Yohn of Lewistown, Mitchell E. Hack and his wife Robin of Mifflintown, and Craig R. Hack and his wife Ashley of Port Royal; siblings, Kathy Yohn of Enola and Patti Kerstetter of Richfield; and six beloved grandchildren, Bentley Yohn, Michael Yohn, Brady Hack, Addison Hack, Miley Hack, and Joel Hack.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kristie Yohn and a brother in law, John Kerstetter.

Mr. Yohn was a 1973 graduate of Greenwood High School in Millerstown.

In earlier life, he was employed at the New Cumberland Army Depot, Aircraft Maintenance Division. Next, he was employed and retired from Teamster’s Local 776 as a Truck Driver for New Penn Motor Express. Currently he was employed as the Zoning Officer of Walker Township.

Yohnny was a member of the Mexico Presbyterian Church, a Past Governor of the Millerstown Moose Lodge #925, and a former Manager of the Thompsontown Amvets Post 122.

He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and will be missed greatly.

All Services and Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Yohn’s memory can be made to the Juniata County Food Pantry, 114 N. Main Street, P.O. Box 44, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
