Obituary for Louise R. Yetter
Louise R. Yetter, 73, of Mifflintown, passed away at 8:00 PM, Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on January 30, 1947 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is a daughter of the late J. Everett and Freda M. (Jamison) Reynolds and her late stepmother Cyrene P. Reynolds.
On August 28, 1965, she married her late husband, Larry B. Yetter with whom she was blessed to share more than 55 years of marriage, before he preceded her in death on October 9, 2020.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa A. Murphy of Port Royal; and two beloved grandchildren, Emily L. Adamson and her husband Brandyn and J. Everett Murphy, also a step-great-grandson, Harvey Adamson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Robbie J. Murphy on April 6, 2015, and her only brother William D. Reynolds, making her the last of her immediate generation.
She was a 1962 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus.
In earlier life, she was employed at Juniata Garment, Mifflin, followed by many years of working in the office at Lyons Fashions, McAlisterville and later she retired from the Juniata County School District. During her marriage, she took care of the office for their family business, which was known as Yetter’s Suburban Gas, Mifflintown.
Her life was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
As per her request, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Yetter’s memory can be made to the Canine Rescue of Central PA, P.O. Box 129, Dillsburg, PA 17019 or to ROFF Rescue, P.O. Box 6, Lewistown, PA 17044.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
