Donald W. “Donnie” Walters, 76, of Mifflintown, went to be with the Lord at 2:04 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born on May 6, 1945, in Port Royal, Juniata County, he was a son of the late, John S., Sr and Ida Pauline (Smith) Walters.

Surviving are his siblings, Mary Ann Stoner and her husband Donald of Mifflintown, Lester A. Walters and his wife Dorothy of Marysville, James Walters and his wife Patricia of Port Royal, Paul “Ernie” Walters and his wife Sheryl of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Dane L. Walters of McAlisterville; a sister in law, Linda J. Walters of Richfield; and several generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Delauter; and a brother, John Walters, Jr.

Donnie attended Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church and, in his younger years, attended Skills.

He loved fishing, bowling, making homemade Christmas, Halloween, and Valentines Day cards, watching TV, especially the Price is Right. It can be said that Donnie never met a stranger because he always knew everyone after meeting them for the first time.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial donations in Mr. Walters’ memory, be made to the Juniata County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 44, Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to the charity of one’s choice.
