Rick R. Geedey, 66, of Mifflintown, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on September 14, 1955 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is the son of Raymond B. Geedey of Mifflintown and the late Mary A.J. (Yeater) Geedey.

On June 20, 1981 at the Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Mifflintown, he married his late wife, Matilda J. (Howie) Geedey, with whom he was blessed to share more than 38 years of marriage before her passing on June 25, 2019.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter, Diana L. Raffa and her husband David of Mifflintown and one grandson, Simon Matteo Raffa.

Mr. Geedey was a 1973 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and was employed as a Sprayer at the Cabinetwork Groups, Inc. (formerly ACPI) in Thompsontown.

His memberships included the First Baptist Church of Juniata County in Mifflintown and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 426.

Rick enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, and spending time at their family’s cabin; but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his daughter, son in law, and grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021 from the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, with Pastor Ronald Shupe officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Geedey’s memory can be made to the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
