Obituary for Ruth Ann Noss
Ruth Ann Noss, 82, of Honey Grove, passed away at 4:31 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Arden Courts of Susquehanna, Harrisburg.
Born on September 7, 1939 in Walker Twp., Juniata County, she is the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Dorothy K. (Burris) Kilmer.
On June 22, 1957, she married her surviving husband, John G. Noss with whom she was blessed to share more than 64 years of marriage.
Surviving are by two daughters, Deborah S. Sweger and her husband Tony of East Waterford and Kathleen E. Ford and her husband Brian of Honey Grove; two sisters, Dora Olnick of Harrisburg, Linda Gray and her husband David of Mifflintown; two grandchildren, Caitlin M. Noss and Alexander D. Noss, and several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Richard W. “Rich” Noss on May 7, 2012, a brother, Russell E. Kilmer on November 11, 1975 and a step-granddaughter, Jessica Ford on January 12, 2017.
Mrs. Noss was a 1957 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and she was a lifelong self-employed farmer.
Ruth Ann loved the outdoors, country living, taking care of all of her plants and animals on the farm; however, being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her greatest joy was taking care of her family who meant the world to her.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Frank J. Swartz officiating. Interment will take place at McCoysville Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
