Obituary for Joyce A. Frey (Spriggle)
Joyce A. Frey, 87, of Mifflintown, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away at 4:37 AM, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on July 20, 1934 in Millerstown, Perry County, she is a daughter of the late Lenus E. and Helen M. (Fry) Spriggle.
On July 27, 1956, she was married to her late husband, Donald G. "Dee" Frey, with whom she was blessed to share more than 64 years of marriage before his passing on October 19, 2020.
She is survived by her brother in law, David L. “Dutch” Frey and his wife Leah of Centre Hall, and many generations of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Frey was a 1952 graduate of Thompsontown High School and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Thompsontown.
In earlier life, she was employed at Thompsontown Manufacturing, after which she was employed and retired after 24 years of service as a Cafeteria Employee for the Juniata County School District.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with the Rev. Michael Sigler officiating. Interment will follow at the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Thompsontown.
A closed casket visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 10:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
