Sharyl D. Burda, 64, of Mifflintown, passed away at Friday, January 13, 2023 at her residence.
Born on February 25, 1958, in Altoona, Blair County, she is a daughter of the late Arthur and Nora (Groce) Nagle.
On June 10, 1978, she married her late husband, Robert P. Burda with whom she was blessed to share over 44 years of marriage before his passing on September 3, 2022.
She is survived by her children, Walter F. Burda and his wife Kirsten of Mifflintown, Mark A. Burda and his wife Emily of Lewistown, Kenneth A. Burda of Honey Grove, and Stacey M. Cornwell and her husband Kevin of Mifflin; twelve grandchildren; six siblings, Linda, Brenda, Roy, Nora, Janet, and Donna; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Anna, Mary, Ralph, Sarah, George, and Art.
Mrs. Burda was a 1977 graduate of Portage Area High School and was a proud homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sharyl was Roman Catholic by faith.
She enjoyed collecting angels, baking, cooking, bingo, playing games with her family, puzzles, and being outdoors; however, her true love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.,
A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 18th at the funeral home.
