Obituary for Wilma M. Dietz

Wilma M. Dietz, 92, of Mifflintown, passed away on February 9, 2023 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

She was born on October 2, 1930 in Mexico, PA, a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Mangle) Leonard.

On June 16, 1951, she married her husband of 50 years, Clyde N. Dietz, who proceeds her in death. George K. Criswell, companion, also proceeds her in death.

She is survived by her son, Rodney E. Dietz, NC and her daughter, Peggy S. (Dietz) Miller, FL. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: John Dietz, PA, Rochelle Spangler, NY, Anthony Miller, PA and Christina Miller, PA in addition to 6 great grandchildren.

Wilma was a 1949 graduate of Juniata Joint High School. Wilma worked for Harrisburg Lumber Company for several years and then worked 29 years for Megs Macaroni Company, Harrisburg which was later acquired by Thomas J. Lipton, Inc.

Wilma was a resident of Brookline Village, Mifflintown and enjoyed putting puzzles together, doing word searches and playing bingo.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers: Charles, Ray, Penrose, Marlin and John Mangle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 noon on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church, 161 Dresslers Ridge Road, Millerstown, PA with Pastor Paul Kampa officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wilma’s honor may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 164, Richfield, PA 17086.
