Obituary for Furman Henry "Dink" Dalton Jr.

Furman “Dink” Henry Dalton, Jr., 50, of Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at his residence.

Born on May 8, 1972 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is the son of the Furman H. Dalton Sr. and Geraldine (Arentz) Dalton.

He is survived by his children, Caleb Kerstetter, Nicole Harrison and her husband Patrick, Seth Dalton, Trenten Dalton, and Miranda Dalton; four grandchildren, Jolene, Olivia, Steven, and Nehlani; three siblings, Mindy Pennabaker and her husband Fred, Tina Miller, and Kimberly Dalton; and his beloved fur babies.

Preceding him in death are one sister, Brenda L. Bottorff; paternal grandparents, Shelley and Alma Dalton; and maternal grandparents, Marlin C. Arentz and Effie Hockenberry.

Mr. Dalton is a 1990 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and spent most of his working life as a Landscaper.

Dink enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, listening to old country music, especially Tracy Lawrence and Vern Gosdin, and, in earlier life, playing softball with the Tuscarora Softball Association; however, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 4 at 12:00 noon, at the Heaven Bound Church, 25 N. Ridge Road, Mifflintown, with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating. There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Dalton’s memory can be made to his son, Trenten Dalton, 33 Cardinal Lane, Mifflin, PA 17058.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
