HONEY GROVE, William L. “Bill” Fry, 81, of Honey Grove died at 1:28 p.m., on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home.
Born on September 30, 1932 in Fayette Twp., Juniata County he was a son of the late James V. and Beatrice Mae (Freed) Fry. On June 16, 1951, he married his surviving wife, Anna P. (Brackbill) Fry, with whom he shared more than 63 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brenda Perrilli and her husband George, of Genoa City, WI, Jeff B. Fry and his wife Dawn, of East Waterford, Lynn B. Fry, of Wapwallopen, Seth D. Fry and his wife Tracey, of Cynthian, KY, 2 brothers, Robert Fry and his wife Eleanor, Jesse Fry and his wife Grace, all of Port Royal and he leaves behind 11 grandchildren also 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fry was a member of the South Juniata Baptist Church, Honey Grove and the United States Trotting Assoc.
He was a 1950 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown, who was self-employed raising and training harness horses. After his retirement he loved working with outfitters in Colorado and Alaska.
Bill loved fishing but his true passion was Walleye fishing. For the last 14 years he wintered in Florida and he was always tuned into NASCAR and professional football on TV.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 from the South Juniata Baptist Church, Honey Grove with the Rev. Dennis Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the McCulloch’s Mills Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the church.
