Family and friends remember Mae’s strength and boundless energy. Born and raised on a farm, she was always a hard worker. While Elwood served in WWII, including the Normandy Invasion, Mae worked in a factory. When he returned, Mae became a devoted wife and mother. She also held a full-time job as a division retail manager with Sears and Roebuck of York until she and Elwood retired and moved to Honey Grove.
Mae loved seeing new places and enjoyed travel by land and by sea. At home, she enjoyed watching birds, taking nature walks, reading, visits with her friends and many other activities. Mae will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
