Frances J. Sherlock, 68, of McAlisterville died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her home.
Born on May 27, 1946 in Long Beach, California, she was a daughter of the late George and Edith (Fisher) Fisher. On February 22, 1969, she married her husband, Harold R. “Dick” Sherlock, with whom she shared nearly 46 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Darin Sherlock, of Mission Viejo, CA and three grandchildren, Brandon, Anthony and Emily Sherlock.
She is the last of her generation, having been preceded in death by one sister, Georganna Parson.
Mrs. Sherlock was a 1964 graduate of Jordan High School, Long Beach, CA and was attending Matamoras United Methodist Church, Spruce Hill.
She was employed as a communications technician for General Telephone, until retiring after 28 years of service.
Frances was a great cook, enjoyed traveling with her husband and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her plants.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from the Matamoras United Methodist Church, Spruce Hill.
