George W. Fultz, 95, of McAlisterville and formerly of Thompsontown, died at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 the home of his daughter.
Born on August 6, 1920, in Naginey, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Adam W. and Mary E. (Wagner) Fultz. On June 29, 1940 he married his late wife, Anna K. (Moyer) Fultz, with whom he was blessed to share more than 62 years of marriage, until she preceded him in death on November 21, 2002.
Surviving are his children, Carolyn Strawser and her husband Ronald, of McAlisterville, Georgia Stull and her husband Jack, of Belleville, William Fultz and his wife Karen Sue, of Rising Sun, MD, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. George was one of eleven children.
George had been attending the Richfield United Church of Christ, and was a member of the Union Lodge F&AM #324, of Mifflintown, and the Harrisburg Consistory A.A.S.R.
Mr. Fultz proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, during World War II, and later retired as a block operator, from the Allegheny Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1980.
George loved genealogy, model railroading and when he was younger, hunting and fishing.
All services will be private. Interment will follow in the Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors. A Masonic service will be accorded by his lodge prior to the funeral.
